Yoga at YUJ - Paris

"Bonjour! ce post met en avant mon voyage à Paris!" - says American girl who goes to Paris, once.

No really, how crazy? Even typing I've been to Paris once feels foreign to me. Excusez-moi for sounding as cliché as possible but I fell into a deep romance with the city & left a little piece of my heart there.

Arriving in Paris, my first glimpse of the beautiful Eiffel tower from my window.

Everything you've heard about Paris is true & more. I was fortunate enough to stay with a local friend, Emma. She showed me the ropes of a true Parisian day to day.

Our mornings started slow (after evenings of copious amounts of rosé & cheese), we'd crawl out of bed - no alarms set- & stroll to a local cafe for coffee & pastries. Macarons for breakfast, anyone?

The rest of our day we walked around exploring, musing, but mainly sitting. Sitting in parks, cafes, duh the Eiffel tower, chatting, eating, laughing & simply being. The buzzing vibe of the city itself can only be described using, je ne sais quoi, as in, an intangible quality that makes something distinctive, & it was inescapably contagious. Nowhere to go & nowhere to be, just existing. For the first time in my life I embodied the French phrase Joie de vivre- as in, a joy of everything, a comprehensive joy & simply a philosophy of life.

vibe

the style of classes at YUJ Paris felt extremely inspired by one of my stateside favorites! Y7 studios (NY + LA)

"Yoga with Style" - their motto - makes a lot of sense once you've taken a peek of their merchandise. I'll take one of each thing available please & merci. The YUJ line is witty, authentic & cozy. If you're in the US like me, you're in luck because they do ship internationally!

The first shirt says, " Do you want to do Yoga with me tonight?" thanks google translate. regardless of WTH its saying it just looks beautiful, seeing as how French is the prettiest frilliest language ever.

The second shirt says "yogi darling". Treat yourself to an athleisure upgrade knowing no one else at your studio will show up wearing the same thing ;)

Au Revoir,

Tayler
